I agree, and also for security reasons, I think the generation of the pin code should follow the rules sets in the Remote Access in the Settings page.
A better safety concerns would be to generate a Pin Code specifically per members and not per event.
Have the Pin Code been obsolete when used one time and generate a new one as long as the event is open
