member feed back for events, is there a way to have a member give feedback on the clinics/events once they have participated. like a "thumbs up or thumbs down" and ability to add a comment.

I really like this idea. Instant feedback, particularly after beginner clinics, is an important aspect of developing a success program for beginners.
