Allow X Days Past Due to work for New Memberships

Our Membership fees are relatively low, so we do not require Membership Fees to be paid before a new member can play. Currently the system marks new paid memberships as Expired until they pay the initial membership fee. We use batch billing, so members are only billed monthly. Would like an option to use the X Days Past Due option to also work for a new membership.

I am thinking this may be a BUG, not a really new Idea.

We set up One Time Price Memberships, which a number of our members prepurchased before the July 1, 2025 Start Date.

They were able to Register/Book for the 10 days we had set the Grace Period to and then their memberships were Auto-Canceled after the 15 days we set that field to.

However, now when we sell the same Membership via the Admin screen, so the member may Pay by Check, it auto-expires their membership and then Auto-Cancels it if we don't get the check before the routine runs overnight.

If the two fields do not function once the Start Date has passed, then change the tooltip text to reflect that...and then offer us another option for Pay by Check members that prefer to mail in their checks.

In further discussion with the Support Team I found out that the One Time Price Memberships were not intended to use the Grace Period, so this is not a bug.

Should I create a new Idea Story or leave this as a comment on this ticket?
