Any chance this will be ready by January? We are already building our membership for next season.
I will move this to a review status to review with our development team to see if we can squeeze this in next month (Dec)
Thanks for doing this. We need this as well at Davisville Tennis Club and Lawrence Park Tennis club, as we have been getting some amount of abuse since the age requirement is hard to enforce.
I wanted to provide a bit of extra info as there are probably a few different ways of doing this. The City of Toronto actually has a policy for tennis clubs:
"""
The city policy says clubs should have a minimum of 2 categories of membership:
"1. Adult membership for those aged 18 and over as of January 1st of the current year, and 2. Junior membership for those aged under 18 as of January 1st of thecurrent year"
"""
At Davisville we have a Full Member Junior membership which works off this Jan 1st date, and then we also have Daytime Juniors 4-6 and 7-18 which also work off the Jan 1 date.
I am sure there are other clubs out there which simply need to have the age be a certain age at the time the membership starts or renews.
Thanks!
Kim,
We have merged your idea in with this one. It was already on the board and is coming later this year or early in 2022!
Great! Thanks so much! :)
Julie,
We are currently working on Age restrictions for Memberships. I have merged your idea into the one we are already have In Development. This will be released in early 2022!
Related to this idea of an age check is the concept that each child should be attached to an adult (who can sign the waiver) and therefore children should never be standalone primary members on the system. To facilitate this, our club created a membership type called "Non-member Guardian" for parents who are not members but have kids who are members at our club. The Non-member Guardian is the primary and signs the waiver for the child or children. This is working well except that we have no way to enforce any new children who join as members to ensure that their parent is also added to the system as the primary. If you have a solution to help us enforce this, it would be great. Perhaps you could prevent a child under 18 from being primary and have an error message saying the child must be attached to an adult or something like that?
Hi Tim. Will this be coming soon?
