Void Payment Option, not just "void fee" and "Adjust Price"

if it has been less than 24 hours, "Void Transaction" and "Adjust Pricing" should be an option for all credit card transactions. I have never seen a POS that does not have that option for credit card transactions that have just been done (meaning within 12-24 hours)? Revert Deletes all the reservation info connected to that charge, that is not always what is wanted/needed.

A customer may change their mind on a purchase last minute, change their mind on which card they want to pay with, etc. Void for a payment simply allows you to make a quick change without incurring "refund fees" etc. The Revert option causes so many more steps to fix accidental charges, etc. And training desk staff or all the small intricacies of refunds is much more difficult than it should be.

When staff over charges someone, it would be much simplier to "adjust the price" rather than revert or refund the transaction and then have to re-create the fee, reservation or POS item to be charged, and then charging the corrected price.

Emily,

If a fee is applied and not paid in CourtReserve, then it does allow you to void.  If the fee is paid on the CR side, the you can't void it, it must be refunded since the transaction has been processed.  Now, if you do the refund before the charge is settled (within 24 hours), it will just be a void on the card and the consumer will never see the charge on their credit card statement.

Thanks,

Tim
