Event Guests - add note "field is for # of guest attending with you, NOT total spots needed"
We host a lot of events and each event has a limited number of spots. We work really hard to assure we have the exact number of participants needed. We are constantly running into issues where a participant registers for themselves and guests and they count themselves as a guest.
I.E. Sharon is a member and she is bringing Suzi, Pam & Jen with her. In the # of guests fields she enters 4 and lists her guests as Suzi, Pam, Jen & Sharon. Now Sharon has registered for 5 spots when she only needed 4 which means we have a spot not filled for the event plus we have a credit to issue to Sharon.

We are spending a lot of time contacting these players to confirm actual number of spots needed (sometimes several calls per day). Is it possible to add a note near the Guest(s) field that clarifies that we are asking for # of guests the registrant is bringing with them... NOT the total # of participants? Maybe inside the box it should say "Select how many guests you are bringing with you." And, maybe an asterisk below that says "Do not count yourself in the number of guests."
