Today, proration in Court Reserve is only used to align a member’s first payment when they join mid-cycle, so future billing stays on the standard billing date and is the full monthly amount. This means if a member gives 30 days notice and you set their membership to end on July 10th, they are still charged the full monthly amount on July 1st instead of a prorated amount for July 1 to July 10.
What we need is an option where, when a future membership end date is entered, the system automatically calculates and charges a prorated amount for the remaining days in that billing period (for example, 10 days), then ends access on the entered end date. This would eliminate the need to manually create a prorated billing cycle and separately set the end date, reducing front desk and admin effort. This would be especially helpful for month-to-month memberships where members give notice mid-cycle and expect to pay only for the days they use.
