Moving events into the future

Hi all, today I made a blunder that has cost me over an hour of work. I meant to copy an event in the past and instead I moved a past event into the future. the CR software let me do that, but it won't let me move the event back to when it had already happened. This is a complete and utter failure in the programming as now I have a future event, where I already have money collected, and my only options according to the help desk are to cancel it and block the refunds (which means adjusting my cancellation policy) or create a new event in the past, register them all, charge them again for an event they already attended a month ago, and then delete the old event and give them refunds. Please fix this immediately!!
