Hi there! We would like to be able to enable or disable the following settings for waitlists:
- If a student is enrolled in a program during a session, they cannot add themselves to a waitlist for the same session.
- Students will enroll in a program and put themselves on the waitlist for another program on a more ideal day. When a spot opens up, since there are no transfer functionalities, they enroll themselves in their ideal day and then request to be withdrawn from their original day.
- We get charged additional merchant fees.
- Students pay for programs twice expecting to be refunded to the original form of payment from their withdrawal of their original program. They get upset with us and our policy which notes that in this scenario, the student would get account credit.
- Transfers are supposed to be requests. We don't allow transfers if the transfer would cause a class to go under the necessary court-student ratio to run. This method bypasses it.
- This would also give an opportunity for patrons who weren't able to enroll in classes in the session.
- A student can only add themselves to a maximum of one or two waitlists in a session.
- This would be very helpful at our larger facilities with larger patron bases.
- Waitlists can be enabled but getting a notification that space in a program is available can be disabled.
- One way to address the issue detailed in the first bullet point would to have staff contact patrons one at a time off the waitlist.
- The only options right now are everyone in the waitlist getting pinged (which leads to people enrolling themselves instead of calling to transfer) or automatically register from the waitlist. The latter option would work if patrons actually took themselves off waitlists when they are no longer interested, but we have found that people add themselves to the waitlists and forget about it.
