booking interface
Background :
Currently, the booking interface presents a court-by-court calendar grid, which works well for internal scheduling but is too complex for customers. Many customers find it confusing and time-consuming to navigate. Our goal is to simplify the customer-facing booking flow while keeping full operational control in the backend.
What We’re Requesting We would like to introduce a simplified, list-style booking view for customers, similar to other modern booking apps. Customers should see: Time blocks (ex: 7:00–10:00 PM)Activity type (Open Play, Court Rental, Clinic)Price displayed upfront Availability (spots left or courts available)One clear “Book” action Customers should NOT see: Court-by-court grid layouts Individual court numbers (Court #3, Court #4, etc.) Staff scheduling or internal capacity details Courts can continue to be automatically assigned by the system in the background.
Recommended Structure Customer View: Simple, mobile-friendly list layout Minimal clicks to complete a booking Admin / Staff View: Full grid scheduling Court-level visibility and controls Ideally, these views would be role-based or toggleable by user type. Success Criteria This enhancement would be successful if: Customers can complete a booking in 3 clicks or fewer Booking confusion and questions are reduced Court utilization remains unchanged or improves Staff continue using the detailed grid view without disruption
Vendor Input Requested Could you please let us know: Whether this can be achieved primarily as a UI/UX change Any backend or logic changes required Estimated development timeline Estimated cost (one-time or ongoing)Whether a prototype or mockup can be provided We believe this change would significantly improve the customer experience and increase conversion.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your feedback.
Customer support service by UserEcho
Hi James- thank you for your note! The Customer View you are describing we have been working on for a time now and will be releasing in early spring. This will be an avenue for public booking that will allow customers to be able to register to an event or create a reservation without having an account at your organization. Eventually the goal is to apply this structure on the member side. We are in the process of finishing and will be getting into a beta period here very soon.
