Replace a clinic spot within the family profile - no refund needed
I am looking for the simplification of un enrolling the parent of a child in a camp when it is the child that needs to show up on the roster. I would have thought as long as the family profile is created then all payments should be linked to the family ID
ME: Currently I have a camp set up where parents have enrolled themselves instead of the child
ME: can i simply unenroll the parent and then enroll the proper family member and have the payment still be linked to the camp roster
CourtReserve: If you unenroll the parent and then add the correct family member, it's going to want to charge them again and will also generate a refund for the payment already made. You can definitely remove them and add the proper family member, but I'd recommend zeroing their total due so they don't get asked to pay again. Or, you can remove them from the event, have the refund generated to account credit, and then use that account credit to pay for the newly registered family members.
ME: so I will be asked how I would like the refund to be processed?
CourtReserve: Since this will be done in the time frame allowed for auto-refunds, I'd recommend first going to Settings > Auto Refunds and update the Credit Card option Account Credit:
Then, when you remove them from the Event, it will automatically give the refund to account credit.
ME: but that setting change would be for all clients, correct?
Yes, you would only want to do this while you're canceling them from the Event, then you'll update it back to Credit Card.
this is definitely something that should be individualized verses making that kind of change to affect the whole.
