Allow Custom Fixed Durations in Events to match Custom Scheduler Fixed Durations

Currently our bookable time slots are on the hour but we wanted to allow fixed duration bookings of 90 minutes for specific hours of specific days of the week.  We were able to achieve this with a custom scheduler where we allocated booking slots of 6-7:30pm and 7:30-9pm.  But when we wanted to have a signup event that matched these times, there was no option to create an equivalent custom fixed duration.  We could only have our event start/end times be on the hour.  Is there any chance of adding this for events?
