Court Closure (rain out) of back to back bookings

When we close courts due to rain - but a booking is split i.e. one hour is in the closure and the second hour is when courts have re-opened. It cancels both. It does this as it one booking over two reservation slots. Is there a way that the system could not cancel the period that is not closed?
