cancellation insurance

Every club has issues with cancellations and the never-ending stream of people who want their money back when they cancel. What if we could add an optional "reservation insurance fee" to reservations? When people can't attend for whatever of the million reasons, they would get their reservation fee back minus the fee? The concert ticket business does this, and the cost of a two hour court booking is pretty similar to a concert ticket at a big venue now. Why not apply that same method of refunding people when they inevitably need to cancel past the club time limits that have been set?
