Allow Organizations to Send Emails From Their Own Verified Domain
CourtReserve currently allows organizations to customize the From Name and Reply-To address, but outgoing emails are still sent from a CourtReserve email address.
For organizations using a branded portal and branded mobile app, this creates an inconsistent customer experience. A member may see the organization's name, logo, colors, website, and app branding, but the actual email still comes from a CourtReserve domain.
Organizations should have the option to send email from a verified address on their own domain, for example:
Suggested solution:
Add support for a custom authenticated sending domain. CourtReserve could provide the DNS records required for domain verification, such as SPF and DKIM, and allow the organization to select an approved From address once verification is complete.
This should apply to automated system emails as well as bulk or manually sent emails where possible.
The existing CourtReserve sending domain could remain the default for organizations that do not want to configure their own domain or have not paid for the plan that includes this whitelabel option.
Allowing authenticated custom sending domains would provide:
- More consistent organization branding
- Greater recipient trust and recognition
- A more professional member experience
- Better alignment with branded portals and branded mobile apps
- Proper email authentication through the organization's verified domain
CourtReserve already allows organizations to customize the displayed sender name and Reply-To address. Extending this to the authenticated sending domain would complete the branded email experience.
