Delay once a cancellation happens

Good morning, can you tell me when someone cancels their session on CR is there anyway that we can make it that no one can book that spot for 5 minutes? We had a situation the 2 members callobrated to say I am going to cancel now and you join now so the waitlist people never got the notice that their was a spot and the person that got the spot was not even on the waitlist
