Stop Pre-loading dates in reports

When a report has several locations where dates can be used as criteria for that report, I find it frustrating to have the dates pre-loaded.  For example, Event Registrant detail.  I want to use start date, but registered on is pre-loaded.  It only takes few seconds to remove the pre-load, but it is annoying when there are other date criteria.
